Bodies of Zandile Tshuma and two daughters killed in UK return to Zimbabwe for burial

A Zimbabwean family is preparing for a somber homecoming as the bodies of Nothabo Zandile Tshuma and her two daughters, Natalie and Nala, are flown back to their home country. The mother and children were the victims of a violent attack in the United Kingdom earlier this year.

The remains are scheduled to arrive in Bulawayo on Sunday, 2 August 2026. Following their arrival, they will be moved to a funeral parlor ahead of a planned church service and a joint burial ceremony set for Tuesday, 4 August.

A Brutal Discovery in Bedfordshire

The 42-year-old mother and her daughters, aged 15 and 5, were discovered dead in their Bedfordshire residence in early July 2026. Investigators confirmed that all three victims had succumbed to injuries caused by blunt force trauma.

The primary suspect in the triple homicide is the victims' husband and father, Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, who is also known by the name Mark. He reportedly fled the United Kingdom shortly after the incident took place.

International Fugitive Apprehended

Following an international manhunt led by Interpol, the suspect was tracked down and arrested in Johannesburg, South Africa. At the time of his capture, he was allegedly found in possession of an unlicensed firearm.

Tshuma is currently being held in a South African facility while authorities navigate the legal complexities of his case. He faces charges related to the illegal weapon in South Africa, alongside the murder charges awaiting him in the UK.

Extradition proceedings are currently in progress to send him back to the United Kingdom to stand trial for the three counts of murder. As legal arguments continue in South African courts, a specific date for his transfer has not yet been finalized.
