Outshine fruit bars recalled for possible glass contamination
Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream has pulled multiple flavors of its frozen treats from shelves following reports of physical contamination.

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is taking no chances after receiving alarming reports that glass fragments were found inside its Outshine Fruit Bars. The company has officially launched a nationwide recall for several specific batches of the frozen snacks.
While the bars are celebrated for using real fruit juice, the discovery of foreign objects has raised immediate safety concerns for consumers across the United States. No injuries or medical emergencies have been linked to the contaminated bars so far.
Which Flavors Are Affected?
The recall is limited to five specific flavors sold in six-count boxes of 2.5-ounce bars. Customers should check their freezers for Strawberry, Watermelon, Grape, Tangerine, and Black Cherry varieties.
In addition to the individual flavor boxes, Dreyer's has included the 24-count variety pack in this safety sweep. The impacted products carry best-before dates ranging from May 31 to November 30, 2027.
Safety First for Consumers
The manufacturer is urging anyone who purchased these items to dispose of them immediately. Alternatively, customers can take the product back to the store where it was bought to receive a full refund.
Dreyer’s issued a statement addressing the incident, emphasizing their commitment to consumer well-being. "The safety, quality, and integrity of our products remain our highest priority," the company noted in their release.
The ice cream giant also expressed regret for the situation, stating, "We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this action may cause our consumers and retail customers."
Shoppers looking to verify their specific boxes should consult the full list of UPC numbers and barcodes provided in the official recall documentation to ensure their batch is safe.
