Nasty C Celebrates SAMA32 Win, Dismisses Critics: 'Everything They Said is Invalid!'
The Durban-born rapper declared all past criticisms 'invalid' following his Best Hip Hop Album win for his independent project.

Fresh off a massive victory at the 32nd South African Music Awards, Nasty C took to his Twitch stream to settle old scores. The rapper celebrated his win for Best Hip Hop Album with his independent release, Free, while addressing his loudest detractors.
Settling the Score on Stream
During the live broadcast, the Durban native didn't hold back when discussing music executive Nhlamulo 'Nota' Baloyi. Referring to him as 'Freckle Face,' the artist suggested the industry accolade proved his critics wrong once and for all.
"Freckle Face was going crazy on me, bro, talking smack about the album," Nasty C told his viewers. He added that the award win means everything said previously is now "invalid" and should be tossed out the window.
The rapper concluded his victory lap by listing his recent successes, including his tour, merchandise sales, and the Album of the Year recognition. He also alluded to another unnamed critic, simply referring to them as "that other guy."
A Longstanding Industry Feud
The tension between Nasty C and Baloyi has been building for years. The executive has frequently shared unsolicited opinions regarding the rapper's use of language, his ink, and his overall musical direction.
For Nasty C, winning a major award for an independent project served as the ultimate rebuttal. It silenced claims regarding his authenticity that have plagued his recent career moves.
Social Media Weighs In
Fans quickly flooded social media to react to the viral clip. While many supporters agreed that the victory invalidated the hate, some users felt the Best Hip Hop Album award should have gone to Kwesta instead.
This latest clash adds to the growing list of industry figures who have challenged Baloyi's public commentary. Recently, broadcaster Penny Lebyane also pushed back against the executive for spreading what she termed misinformation about her career legacy.
