Where Is ‘Ted Lasso’ Filmed? All About the Real-Life London Locations Seen in the Apple TV Comedy

While the world of AFC Richmond might feel like a storybook version of English football, the backdrop for the show is rooted in the very real streets of South West London. Most of the series is filmed on location in Richmond, a picturesque area that has seen a surge in tourism thanks to Coach Lasso.

The Heart of the Action: Richmond Green

The most recognizable setting is Richmond Green, where Ted often walks to work or encounters local fans. This lush public space is open to everyone and serves as the primary exterior for many of the show's charming neighborhood scenes.

Just a few steps away lies Paved Court, the narrow pedestrian street where Ted’s apartment is located. While the interior is a set, fans can easily find the famous blue door and take photos in the same alleyway where Ted and Beard grab their morning coffee.

Pints at the Crown & Anchor

If you are looking for the Crown & Anchor, the local pub where Mae keeps the regulars in check, you will need to look for The Prince’s Head. This historic establishment dates back to the 1700s and provided the exterior and some interior inspiration for the show's favorite watering hole.

Inside, the pub leans into its fame with plenty of show-related memorabilia. It remains a functioning business, allowing visitors to grab a drink exactly where Roy Kent and the boys spent their off-hours.

Training Grounds and Stadiums

The fictional Nelson Road stadium is actually Selhurst Park, the home of real-life Premier League club Crystal Palace. Many of the large-scale game sequences were shot during breaks in the actual football season to capture the authentic match-day atmosphere.

For the team’s training sessions, the production moved to West London. SkyEx Community Stadium in Hayes served as the base for the AFC Richmond practice pitch, where the squad ran their drills and Ted delivered his famous locker room speeches.
