Lil Durk Allegedly Texted “We Got The Location” Weeks After King Von’s Death
Federal prosecutors prepare to present a paper trail of incriminating messages as the Chicago rapper faces trial for an alleged retaliatory plot.

The legal walls are closing in on Chicago star Lil Durk as he prepares to face a jury this Thursday. Federal prosecutors have gathered a mountain of digital evidence they claim proves the rapper orchestrated a deadly revenge plot against rival Quando Rondo.
Incriminating Messages Leaked
Evidence recently surfaced via social media personality Akademiks, highlighting messages allegedly sent by Durk. In one notable text, the rapper expressed frustration over the lack of retaliation following the death of King Von, stating that he wouldn't be celebrating the new year.
The most damaging portion of the text chain suggests Durk knew exactly where his targets were. "Rondo out there acting like they don’t have nothing to worry about even though we got the location," the message reportedly reads.
A Rejected Peace Offering
Court filings suggest that an affiliate of Quando Rondo attempted to de-escalate the tension before the violence turned fatal. However, Durk allegedly shut down any talk of a truce, citing his loyalty to the late Von and another associate.
Durk reportedly sent a chilling response to the peace proposal, stating, "I'm not hopping on the phone to squash [...] this for Thang and Von." He allegedly followed up by telling the intermediary to "take the peace of the switch," a reference to an illegal firearm modification.
The Prosecution's Strategy
The government’s case centers on the 2022 shooting in Los Angeles that claimed the life of Lul Pab, Quando Rondo’s cousin. Prosecutors allege Durk funded the travel for five men to fly to California to carry out the hit, even warning them not to book travel under his name.
Beyond text messages, the court has ruled that Durk’s own lyrics can be used against him. The song "Pissed Me Off" is expected to be played for the jury as evidence of his mindset and motives regarding the feud.
With the trial starting tomorrow, rumors are swirling that interviews from controversial figures like Wack 100 and 6ix9ine could also be introduced. Durk remains in custody as he fights for his freedom against these heavy federal charges.
