‘Fightland’ Cast: Meet the Faces Starring in 50 Cent’s UK Boxing Series

Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson is back in the executive producer chair for 'Fightland', a new Starz series that takes viewers deep into the London boxing scene. The story follows Maduka 'Duke' Kilroy, a former boxing icon who returns to the streets after an eight-year prison stint served for defending his late brother.

While boxing provides the backdrop, 50 Cent made it clear at the show's premiere that this isn't a traditional sports drama. "This is not 'Rocky' or 'Creed,'" he told reporters, emphasizing that the show focuses on the high-stakes temperament of the fighters and the dangerous world surrounding the ring in the UK.

Meet the Leading Heavyweights

Howard Charles leads the cast as Duke Kilroy. Known for his work in 'The Musketeers,' Charles portrays a man on a mission for vengeance against the powerful Marshall crime syndicate, whom he blames for his brother's death.

Nicholas Pinnock stars as the formidable Kingsley Marshall, the head of the criminal organization. Pinnock noted that while global audiences often associate British culture with shows like 'Downton Abbey,' this series offers a far more realistic and gritty perspective of London life.

The Marshall Family Dynasty

The Marshall family is rounded out by Anita-Joy Uwajeh and Charles Babalola. Uwajeh plays Cece, a woman who refuses to be intimidated in a male-dominated world. She describes her character as someone who fights just as dirty and twice as smart as her counterparts.

Babalola, playing Zeke Marshall, suggests the show is about more than just a simple vendetta. He claims the series explores the desperation of protecting a family legacy in a world full of 'lions' where your reputation is your only currency.

A Stacked Supporting Cast

The ensemble features several familiar faces from major British and international productions. Deborah Ayorinde, Tahirah Sharif, and Tyler Conti bring additional depth to the complex web of loyalties and betrayals that define the show's first season.
